A team from Industrial Engines were thrilled to actively help out at the St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice 5K Colour Dash on Saturday 9th May 2015.
The Colour Dash, with 2,500 runners was the first ever to be held in the county and took place at the Lincolnshire Showground. The fields were packed with cheering spectators, volunteers and runners keen to raise as much money as possible for the local charity.

“Runners were colour-bombed with environmentally-friendly powder paint – a different colour to mark every kilometre of the race”, explains Industrial Engines’ Hamilton Smith. “Then at the end each runner was given a bag of colour to be thrown at the same time – like a technicolored explosion!”
The team from Industrial Engines were delighted to raise money for the hospice which is dedicated to caring for people who are suffering from terminal illnesses and their families.

The Industrial Engines team were primarily involved in colour bombing the runners at the 1K colour station. It was a very messy job, but fantastic fun and definitely an event that Industrial Engines will continue to support in the future.

The sell-out event raised a total of £1,000’s resulting in what the charity described as “the most successful event in the history of St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice”.
