Many of the engines we supply will be working in very dirty and dusty environments. The problem with this is that, in order to operate at peak performance, the engines need clean air.

This is why air filters play such an important role in keeping your diesel engines running healthily and saving you from having to do any costly repairs in the future.

If you do not have an air filter, the dust and dirt particles become abrasive silica, finding their way into the engine and causing internal damage.

Here are just some of the things that can happen if the engine air filter is clogged:

• Engine wear
• Increased oil consumption
• Misfires
• Excess exhaust
• Unusual noises

This is why it is important to monitor the air filters regularly and replace them regularly and when necessary.
